IBS First Time Online Graduation

For the first time, the Indonesian Higher Education Banking School (STIE – IBS) Jakarta held an online graduation through the zoom application, Saturday, November 21, 2020. The online graduation was held because of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic situation. Families, parents, or companions of the graduates / graduates also watch the graduation procession through live streaming through the Indonesia Banking School YouTube channel.

A total of 247 graduates from various undergraduate study programs for undergraduate level 1 and 2 underwent the XIII graduation procession for the 2019/2020 Academic Year, at 12.30-18.00 WIB. The details of the graduates consisted of 185 undergraduate graduates with 54 accounting majors, 106 management majors, 25 sharia finance majors, and 62 bachelor’s degree management graduates.

The graduates this time apart from Jakarta and its surroundings are also from other areas such as Merauke, Manokwari, Kupang, East Lombok, Samarinda, Balikpapan, Bandar Lampung and Padang.

This online graduation ceremony was opened and chaired by the Head of STIE-IBS, Dr. Kusumaningtuti Sandriharmy Soetiono, SH., LL.M. in the lobby room of STIE IBS Kemang, South Jakarta. Participants who attended were only representatives of graduates who sat in the front row with a minimum distance of one meter and were required to wear masks and comply with health protocols.

“Even though the graduation takes place online, it is still special because it was delivered and witnessed by the highest leaders at Bank Indonesia, and the Financial Services Authority, the Honorable Faculty and Members of the IBS External Academic Senate who are senior figures in finance and business, as well as many guests of honor. IBS, “he said.

Sandiaga S. Uno delivered a scientific oration with the theme: “Challenges and Opportunities for the Indonesian Youth in the Globalization of the Financial Sector in the Digital Age“. The main address at the 2020 IBS STIE graduation was delivered by Mrs. Rosmaya Hadi as Deputy Governor of BI as well as Chair of the IBS Board of Trustees.
