International Guest Lecture Highlights Economic Insights with MoU Signing

On Saturday, August 10th, 2024, Indonesia Banking School (IBS) hosted a highly engaging International Guest Lecture themed “Debt and Economic Growth.” The event took place in Amphitheater 405, featuring Prof. Ts. Dr. Shafinar Binti Ismail, President of the International Association of Economic & Business (IAEB), as the keynote speaker. The session was expertly moderated by Dr. Sulistyowati, S.E., M.Si, a senior faculty member at IBS and the Head of IAEB for the Jakarta region.

The discussion revolved around the critical impact of debt on national and global economic growth, with Prof. Shafinar sharing in-depth knowledge on the challenges and opportunities within the economic landscape. Students and faculty alike left the lecture inspired by the insightful perspectives shared by the distinguished guests.

Adding to the significance of the event, the leadership of IBS and IAEB formalized their collaboration with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This MoU strengthens ties between the two institutions, marking a new chapter of international academic cooperation and research. The strategic partnership aims to bolster future collaborations in the areas of economics and business, with a shared vision of fostering education and innovation.
